Today, our average per capita income is about $1,500, while the world average is $15,000.
We are about 10 times behind the world's average.
Can we make every Nepali earn an average of 1.5 lakh (Global Average) per month?
If others can do it, why can't we?
Economists say it will take 30 years to reach this level, but how can we achieve this goal faster? Let's discuss.
Today, companies have to pay 25% to 30% tax.
Because this rate is high, most companies evade taxes.
If this tax rate is reduced to between 5 and 10%, more revenue can be collected than today.
Also, Nepal can be made a tax-free (Direct Tax) country in the future.
Today, a Nepali has to pay 1% to 39% tax on their income.
This can be reduced to 0% to 10%.
Many have stopped paying taxes due to the high tax rate.
If taxes are made easy and fair, an environment can be created where most citizens will willingly and proudly pay taxes.
Let's move towards creating that environment.
